  1. The Thomson DTH 210/220 is -as far as I know- the first Player, which can play slide-shows from normal JPG´s on CD-R.
But can it also play SVCD?
I´m searching for a player, which can do both!

(And hopefully with DivX - but you can´t always get what you want...)

Has anyone experience with a stand-alone-player, which can show JPG´s (simply written on CD-R) on TV?

  2. Hi,
I have this player, and it can read Jpg images (with some restrictions: only up to 2.1 Mega pixels).

But I'm looking for the hack to play SVCDs: I can't play SVCDs, but I'm sure there is some way to unlock the drive to do so...

So if someone knows a code to do that, I'll be very pleased.
    Thanks!

  3. I have the same DVD player Thomson DTH-220, but I presumed it could play SVCD out of the box. What a bummer. I have now contacted thomson customer service. I have read on the hacks that you can buy the patch from Thomson. Keep me posted if you know more. I'll return if I have found or received the patch. The region free hack was easy!
I like the look and feel of this player, much better than my previous one, Mustek 300.

  4. I just got a reply from Thomson saying that the patch indeed exists and is readily availble in each Thomson service centre.

  5. hi there,

i'm also looking for the update to play svcd's. beside the fact that i try to get the sw directly from thompson: is there to get it direct from the web for they offer it for so little money (6€ but to transfer it from germany to france + shipping costs) that the real costs can't be covered but on the other hand there seem to be no download possiblity.

    another question:

does anybody knows how to get this player region-free ?
