I ripped a DVD movie and got all my .vob files and my wave file for sound , 2 channel, I used Clad DVD XP ver 1.31. I created the .d2v file for frame serving. I encoded the movie with tmpgenc and when it was finished, I had no sound. I loaded all the .vob files in PowerDVD and they play fine and have the sound. I went to the .wav file that clad ripped and when I try to play it, Media player give an error message "the buffer is not big enough". My question is, I assume something is wrong with the .wav file that was ripped, is there any software that may be able to find and fix a problem in this .wav file? I no longer have or can get access to the DVD to try and rip it again. Thanks for your help.

here's an update. When I opened the .d2v and .wav file in tmpgenc and went to source range and checked display audio, there wasn't any it's like tmpgenc can't read the .wav So for kicks I went to Studio 7.0 to see if I could import the .wav file only and play it, it plays fine. So I did a quick test, I went back to tpmgenc and loaded to .d2v file only went to file, output to .avi let it run for about 1 min of video. Opened that .avi in Studio 7.0 and it played added the .wav file and cut it down to the same length of the .avi and previewed it sound is in sync. Cool. I then created a new .avi with Studio and played it, everything is good. I took the new .avi to tmpgenc and encoded, played the mpg2 in powerdvd and all is well. It's more work for me but I am going to be able to save the movie.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Normal .wav files work but this one is about 2GBs big cause the movie is over 3 hours....help?!?

You guys really need the BeSweet Apps in your DVD ripping toolbox. First of all BeSplit can check and repair a bad Header. Then BeSweet can transcode that 2 Gig WAV file into a nice 200Mb .ac3 file or a MP2 if you want. Check out the DSPguru website and get all his audio tools, it will do Everything you ask and more...
