  1. I read some posts a few days again inquiring about double-sided DVD-Rs.

I found this at the Apple site:

DVD-R'S are basically large-capacity CDR (to put it simply). The current maximum is 4.7GB to a single side. 2 sides DVD-R's (2x 4.7GB) DO exists. I bought some inexpensive Ritek ones and they work great.
Here's some links to 9.4 GB DVD-R's (shop around, I got mine at $2 each!)

I personally haven't tried any, but this person did.

    Cheers,
    Brian

  3. I don't know, but from what I've mostly read, labelling DVDs is a bad thing.

The labels get stuck and can render the DVDs useless. For my business, I keep the DVD clean unless there are multiples. At this point, I simply write a corresponding number on them. The rest of the identification is done by me creating a personalized DVD case cover and chapter index.

BUT, some people label. If I was creating DVDs for myself, I might label them, but not for customers.

    Cheers,

For labeling a "flipper" aka DVD10, use a fine point sharpie in the hub area. I also understand that there are small adhesive "hub" labels out there.

I don't know of any US retail store currently selling 9.4Gb "flipper" discs, sorry. You pretty much have to go get them via mail-order from online retailers such as those mentioned above.

I've used these on double-sided disks, and they work fine.
