I have a question. I have alot of messages on hotmail, i've downloaded them all with outlook express.
Can i delete them from the mail server and still have them in Outlook Express?

You will have to MOVE the downloaded messages in Outlook Express to a local folder. Otherwise, if you delete the messages in Hotmail, the next time Outlook Express syncs with Hotmail, the messages in the Hotmail "Inbox", will disappear too.
At least this is what I remember. I stopped using Outlook Express and my hotmail e-mail account ages ago...

Yep, Vitualis is correct. I use Outlook Express in Unison with Hotmail all the time, and when you delete one from either hotmail or outlook express, it is permanently deleted. You may be able to retrieve it in your trashcan, but hotmail makes it a point to clear that out very frequently now to clear up space. Hotmail only allows a 2MB max capacity, so if you need more with hotmail, you will have to pay extra.
One thing that I still can't figure out is when I open outlook express, I get "doubles" of the emails I have in hotmail. Example, If I send myself an email titled "TEST" and open it in hotmail, i'll have the one email. However, if I open it in Outlook Express, I get the SAME email TWICE.
