  2. Without knowing what the structure looks like, your question is much too general. As I see it the important questions are:

How large are all of the files on the DVD after you ripped them? It should go without saying that if the files total less than 4.7 Gig., you can burn them onto one DVD-R. Of course, I'm assuming it's greater than 4.7 Gig.

Next, what is the structure of the VOB files? If the VOB files run in sequentially ordered SETS of files (called titles), as opposed to one title that is sequentially ordered. The file name of the VOB is "vts_XX_y.vob". If the XX numbers correspond to the episodes on the DVD, you will have an easier time.

In this case, find the smallest VOB file on the DVD. Copy the files into two directories ("disk one" and "disk two"). In each directory, copy over the first or second set of episodes with the smallest VOB file (and then alternate the set of episodes in the second directory).

In each directory, you will need to correct the IFO files using a program called IFOEdit. Open VIDEO_TS.IFO and select “Get VTS Sectors”. Specify IFO Edit to correct all of the IFO files during this process.

If the file structure is different, so that all of the episodes appear in one set of VOB files, you should use the splitting option in IFOEdit to accomplish this. This is a more involved process and has been discussed better elsewhere (check the Doom-9 forum).

    Good luck!

Capt. P, I tried doing this using ifoedit for the Tenchi OAVs but neither were DVD compliant (WinDVD would not even play them from the folder).

I am going to look for the doom9 forum thread you are speaking about but if you find it, could you post a link to it?

    Thanks.
