  1. Is there any way of copiyng dvds without having a DVD writer?? how??

  2. If you mean "backing up" a dvd that you own, then the answer is yes and no. If you have DVD ROM drive you can rip the dvd onto your hard drive. You can then convert the movie to a mpeg1 or mpeg2 and burn it with a cd writer to a vcd or svcd. Of course the resulting mpeg will probably be too large for one disc unless you use a template from Kwag which can be found under tools. The quality will not be the same though.

    So the short answer is "No" you cannot get a dvd quality copy unless you have a dvd burner.

    I would suggest looking at the conversion and rip guides on this site as it will answer your basic questions.
