I can share your frustrations. I live in Alaska and when I first got here (21 years ago) I had the most difficult time getting things. Some things from the lower 48 were even shipped through customs! Many places would tell me they can't ship outside the US, then those that were willing would say UPS/Fedex don't ship to Alaska (we have a HUGE hub for both here - I work at the airport).
But, that has -mostly- cleared up. But, then the shipping costs have not. I can't believe that from California to here is that much more than from say Seattle to Florida.
I've never heard good things about Tiger Direct.
I shop at www.googlegear.com but, I couldn't guess about their "overseas" shipping policy.
In the past I sometimes would send it to a friend in the lower 48, and then have him ship it here.

Why would anyone still do business with that awful company? They put me on their email spam list and it took me two years two dozen complaints to get off it. Horrible people. Miserable experience. I'd rather pay full retail than buy something from them.
