Hi. I absolutely despise relying on divx and xvid files for my movies, but sometimes I just have to bear with it when I'm looking for rare movies. But rather than just settling for and playing the files as they are, I often convert all movies to SVCD. I've done this pretty easily so far with all my divx movies, even with AC3 audio, but this new xvid/ocm format is currently foreign to me. Could someone please give me a step-by-step conversion proccess, or please point me in the direction of a xvid->SVCD conversion guide? ty

Here is the method I currently use for divx->SVCD

1. Extract the audio from the divx file with VirtualDub
2. Convert the extracted sound file with BeSweetGUI to a wav file compatible with TMPGEnc
3. Convert the files to MPEG-2 (using the video from the original avi, and the audio from the converted wav file)
