  1. I have been using Optodiscs for a while now in my Panasonic DMR E-30 Recorder and more recently my Sony DRU 500 AX writer. I have had a great deal of success with them and can buy them from Rima.com. 10 for $12 with jewel case or a spindle of 50 for only $40 (80 cents each.)
I was thinking of trying another brand but they work in all 4 of my DVD players and I'm thinking "if its not broke why fix it." Just wanted to get some feedback from your experiences with OPTODISCS out there and let you about my success with these discs.

Hey Wizard! I'm a Optodisc fan too. I have burned over a hundred with very few problems. I would guess that there were maybe 2 disks in a batch of 100 that had problems that I could attribute to the media--ie, pixelation on the middle or near the end. One thing odd about them is that it takes my JVC player about 45 seconds to register the disk. I have also used meritline with success. I really like their DVD 10 flippers! About $1.60 I think. This is great if you use like DVDXCopy to split. For my next order I think I'll get a mix.
You create your own reality. Interested in media servers and HTPC? Can we talk?
