Just thought I'd drop a line and let folks know that dvX DVD-R's are very reliable and inexpensive. I got a 50 spindle from this guy on ebay, here is his store

    http://www.stores.ebay.com/directshoponlinecom/plistings/list/all/dept2/index.html

and this is the exact media that I got

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3405449730&category=11163

This seller is very reliable and he ships fast. After shipping and insurance it comes to just over 50 dollars (basically 1 dollar a disc) and he uses priority so it gets there in 2-3 days.

Im gonna have to second axlish. From the look of these DVD-Rs, they look like the exact same ones i use all the time for my PS2,Xbox and DVD "back ups".

However i get mine from DVDR4Less.com and the stock number is 702886. Just type that number into the search. They used to be $0.68 each but now i see they have boosted the price to $0.89 each. All in all, $44.50 is still great for a 50spindle of these disks.

They work great for everything and are pretty cool lookin with the glossy-white tops!

Well he must of lied to you or has different one cause the 2 spindles of 50 1x dvd-rs i bought are Princo's and the 2 spindles of 4X are Ritek. If you check his auction it even says they are "Princo and Ritek" just have to open your eyes and read son. and also all 50 1X dvd-r have the same # H061191140212

actually he didn't lie because these are the same legacy discs that I bought from him before. Could the legacy be the same princo's? They easily could be so need to to call anyone a liar. And if the # you are repeating is the # on the ring of your discs, then mine is different so you are not correct. If you read my post, above your rude post, you will see the # in the ring of my discs. If you are referring to the serial # on the sticker outside the spindle, I can't check that, I tossed it.

On a different note, why all the negative energy from you i-on-s?
If you know what you are talking about then please, inform everyone, but why be arrogant or rude? I mean, this place is for helping folks, which seems like what you are trying to do I guess. But why be rude? I don't get it.

  11. How long have to had these? I don't really know what you mean by reliable. Do you mean compatibility or quality? They are very different things. Compatibility means it can work with a wide range of burners and players, quality means that its not cheaply made and it doesn't degrade quickly. Some could have both, but most el-cheapo discs usually have compatibility but are lacking in the quality area.

Well outta the 300 dvd-rs i bought that are dvX i have'nt had a burn problem or playback problem yet but i have only had them let say about 1 month and 3 days. the dvd players i have are a apex 1500,1100w and a minitek 1600 and some pos toshiba (which even states in the manual it does'nt play dvd-r ) and every disc has worked on them great with no flaws or **** ups and i have 2 burners a very old 2x that burns them fine and a newer dvr-105 which burns them also with no problem. as for the quality well how does the old saying go? "you get what you paid for" if you want quality go fork over like 6$ a disc for Verbatim/Sony or other high quality dvd-r. but these have worked fine for me so far and so have my ritek g4's which i use for the only most important footage i film.

I have bought about four 50 spindles already of these disks from DVDR4Less since around November, and haven'nt had 1 problem yet. I dont wanna jinx myself, but there hasn't been one bad disk outta the bunch and like i stated above....they seem to work flawlessly on both my DVD players, Xbox and PS2. And you know what they say, "If it aint broke, then don't fix it." And why would i for the price and quality.

As a matter a fact, it's just about that time to order another spindle!

  14. Don't know about the people overseas but Best Buy sells 50 pack spindles of Memorex and Verbatim +R's for 99.00 Bucks. I havn't found them cheaper anywhere else. I have burned over 50 so far and have had 0 percent failure. I like the +R over the -R because the seem to be a lot more compatible with DVD players.

I'm on my second 50 spindle and I have had some copies for around 4 months. Have you had any discs go bad LanEvo7? I haven't had any go bad yet and I have used some CHEAP media before. If you have had any go bad then please let us know the brand.

  16. I haven't actually had DVD-R's go bad, but I have had cheap cd-rs go bad in about a year. I am now very cautious of what type of media I buy. I'd rather pay a couple dollars more than spend hours dealing with unreadable discs. According to the DVD Media list, there are a few people that have had PRINCO's go bad on them.

  17. While the princo 2x dvd-r disks that dvX sells might be an OK deal, they seem to sell these disks CONSIDERABLY higher than other dealers on eBay sell the same media for. I just did an eBay search for "princo 2x DVD-R" and found much lower prices on the same disks, not to mention MUCH lower shipping charges from some other sellers for the same exact media.
