I have the Cendyne/Pioneer 105. Memorex and Maxell DVD-Rs work great and burn at 2X. They play in my two Sony players as well as My APEX player. Memorex DVD-RWs work fine but are not recognized by my APEX player. I also tried Kyphermedia DVD-Rs; they burned OK but did not play well in any machine. I am authoring with Ulead MF2.

I have the A05 with 1.21 upgrade.
Have burned Verbatim 2X and FujiFilm 2X both without errors. They both burn at 2X speed.
I also have a no-name DVD-R that works when the size of the movie is less than around 4.2Gb but stops if it's larger. These burn at 1X. -
I have the Cendyne/Pioneer 105 with the 1.21 firmwire. I've only burned with the Verbatim 2x 4.7GB disk and they worked fine on my stand alone panasonic dvd player as well as my mac powerbook.
Does anyone know if you can burn 9.4GB disks on the cendyne/pioneer? And if so, what brand have you used to burn video? -
I was referring to the double-sided DVD-Rs that are 9.4GBs. I've seen them listed on a few sites including rima.com. Has anyone here ever used them? I'm wondering if you could burn a full movie longer than 4.3GBs onto one of them?

Cendyne x05 with firmware 1.21. Works great with TDK 2x -R. Have yet to successfully burn with Imation 1x -R (but Imation 1x works perfect on x04 with Firmware 1.40)
Cendyne/Pioneer 105 & 104 with a Dazzle* Hollywood DV-Bridge. -
Burn with Instant DVD, author with DVD Maestro.
DVD-r Bulkdvd (from Swedish site dvdnorden.se) burns fine if file size is smaller than around 4.2. I have had one skip in one movie though. But except from that one time, it has been good.
DVD-rw Nashua, doesn't work in niehter my Sony pc-dvd nor my standalone Samsung m205. CRAP.Sweet. -

I just tried the Ritek G03 and they work great. Not one coaster so far. Got them from supermediastore.com. Ordered them monday, got them friday.

I just upgraded my A05 to 1.21 this week.
Maxell and TDK DVD-Rs burn fine at 2X and play fine on my DVD changers (Toshiba SD-4109SX, Panasonic CP67 and Apex AD-703).
Has anyone tried Princo 2X (also known as "True 2X") with 1.21?
If so, please post your experience.
I would like to order some more...
I burned the Princo 2X fine with 1.00, but I only had two left after upgrading to 1.21.
One burned fine, but wouldn't play back in one of my DVD players that usually plays them, the other works great in both DVD players that usally play Princos burned at 2X.
I would have liked to have more, so I could check them before placing an order for more....
Thanks!
