Hi,
Can someone tell me what the best frame rate is to use for encoding SVCD and to be played back on a Pioneer 444. The source is a avi file coming from a PAL DV camcorder. I understood 25 does not work well for this standalone.

Well, 25fps is the standard for PAL. I don't know about your player but if you are in NTSC land you need to use 23.97fps (with 3:2 pulldown) or 29.97fps. If you are in a PAL country (which is suggested by the fact that your DV camcorder is PAL) the 25fps is your only choice.
