DRU-500A and Verbatims DVD-R's

Hello all, I've had the DRU500A for a bit now, and have been burning DVD's wonderfully. I know that the older batch of Verbatim DVD-R's didnt work with it and they release one that fixed that problem. My Question is, if i use some form that older batch, with firmware 1f, will it work. I have a pack of those someone gave me. They were already opened and a couple used on another burner, so i cant get them replaced by the company. Does anyone know if i could use them. if not im gonna have to sell them. Thanks.

I don't know what "badge" these are or which you have, but I burnt 2 Verbatim DVD-R's at 2x and didn't have problems with them.

Although they are expensive (5.90 Euros/piece) I'll get some more this week.

I have 1.0d so I assume it would work for 1.0f as well
