ive recentley purchased the oem version of the sony DRU500A the DW-10A.... ive tried using nero and get alot of crashed discs also it only writes at 1x on 2x trax data discsive also tried to get record now max and prassi primo to work ...updateing the px engine didnt do a thing cuz it wouldnt recognise my writer
ive also tried instant cd but that normally crashes at about 19% even after doing a simulation first. has any1 got any idea wat software i shud use or even help for the record now prob your help would be much appriciated.

Have you tried Ulead DVD Moviefactory2? It supports the 500A (might require an update on their site but its on their supported list). They have a trial available.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -
Are you able to get any type of software to work? Is it working for cd burning? If nothing works I would be looking at the hardware.

Try one of the Ulead products. The Video Studio DVD SE demo has burner engine with it. Oh, by the way, use DVD-RWs if you are experimenting. Coasters are too expensive.

thanks guys for your help i tried ulead products but they seem too long winded i just want to copy disc to disc.... ive gone back to nero now it only burns at 1x but seems to b working on most discs...i have a problem with 1 disc that i have that stops at chapter 10 i thought it was nero but other discs seem to work... do u know how i cud fix this chapter in order to burn as i dont think its neros fault
