I often use Mpeg Append Force Pan & Scan (OS9) to make the movie fill more of my screen. However, I have noticed that on some DVD titles the movie will play fine up to a point, then the movie freezes, but the audio keeps going. If I hit fast forward on my remote (and skip past the freeze scene, the video and the audio play fine (and stay in sync) for the rest of the movie. I have noticed that the pausing has always occured only once during each appended film. Also, I use DVDSP 1.5.2 to rebuild the disk after I append the MPEG-2 file. The strange thing is that if I play the MPEG-2 file on VLC the pause does not occur. However, it does occur on the DVDSP preview and the burned DVD-R disk. In addition, I have never had pausing problems using the regular Mpeg Append (non Pan & Scan version). If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening and/or how to fix it please let me know.
