  1. I'm looking for a way to burn a svcd, but I don't have toast..
Maybe MMB can do the trick, but I still haven't found how yet. For the reccord; I already have my movie in .xml & .img files, so it's probably something simple?

    Found also the next tip:
"(Burn the .img files as Multitrack XA in Toast.) Alternatively, use VCDToolsX to convert the mpgs to bins, and burn them as Disc Image"

Does this mean that once I've got the bins I just have to drag these to the empty CD and burn it without any other program?

Can't I use iDVD (or something else that comes with the mac) for burning SVCD's?

Hopefully someone can help me out here, it's my last obstacle!

Once you get the svcd into a .bin all you have to do is use disk utility to burn the image onto a cd.

I think its as simple as opening disk utility(or disk burner) select the .bin and click burn

I use toast which is much easier, but for those who do not have toast, then I am pretty sure if its in a .bin format you can just use disk utility, or the burn app.

    Hope this helps

To get to the .bin, just open VCDtools and select the 2nd button (package to .bin) and add the mpeg2 select SVCD as out format and start.
You will get the .bin file

Dont need to do any of the extra things.
    Cheers

  3. If you saved the "toc" file when you made the xml / img, then just load the toc (cue) into MMB.

Otherwise, use MMT to vcdxbuild from the xml, then use the "toc" in MMB.
Or, vcdxbuild to cue/bin, then use the "cue" in MMB.

If all you have is the img, then you will need to use MoreMissingTools to Rip ISO to recover the mpg.

  4. I don't know how to put it otherwise; thanks a lot for the support guys!
Trying it out right about now..

Just gave it a try to dump the .bin file on my empty CD - dragged it to the trash and burned it, but the DVD player can't read it.. I haven't checked any of the steps in between so maybe one of them went wrong -I'll will try playing them to make sure.

About MMB0.4; this won't work for some reason (get scripterror-maybe it's for OS 10.2?) someone any idea if a previous version will work and where to download it?

Thanks again for putting up with these newbie-matters .. it's nice you replied it all so clearly for me

  5. I have some early versions of MMB / MissingCDRDAOgui on my mirror site. There were compiled under 10.1.5. Worth a try.

  6. Yeah, try MissingMediaBurner 0.2.

If you have an external CDRW drive and an internal reader, in the Terminal retype 'IOCompactDiscServices' with 'IOCompactDiscSevices/2'.

If you have that problem with the power calibration, use --force.
