  1. i already asked this question once, but everybody misunderstood it. My pioneer dv 250 allows me to change the country code, i can choose any country in the world from usa to france or even the smallest country, but that doesn't affect te region, my dvd player remains region 1. What is the piont of those coutry codes how does this affect my dvd player.
For example i have an all zone disc recorded in pal thati bought in france, even if i select Franc as my country code, it still won't play it and eject it mentionning an incompatible region.

  2. Just an idea.... Maybe if your DVD have multiple languages then DVD player will set language based on your Country Code setup.

You are right. That settings doesn't have anything to do with region code.

  7. You should read the hacks on your DVD player, it might help you. There seems to be a (complicated) remote hack for your DVD player.

P.S. Do you have a DVD-ROM player on your computer? If you, it will make your life much easier. It is much esier to make a DVD-ROM region free than a DVD player.

  9. Not for beginners but essentially, you must change the firmware of your DVD-ROM player for a "hacked" region free firmware. Once that you have done this, you have to install a freeware program called "DVD Region Killer".

    See this website:

  10. Changing the firmware of your DVD-ROM is actually not that hard and is free. Thre is a risk in doing this but it is not a high risk if you know what you are doing.

Here's what you need to do:

1- Identify the exact model of your DVD-ROM
2- Find the rpc-1 patched firmware for your DVD-ROM player on www.rpc1.org
    3- install the patched firmware
4- install DVD Region Killer (freeware program) See this website:
    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/dvdrk.html
5- Play a DVD from any region with software programs such as Power DVD or Windows Media Player
