  1. I have one big mpg file. And I tried to split it in 3 parts. It makes part 1 and 2 just fine and make .img files, but part 3 is just 130 Mb, when it should be over 500Mb.

    and there is some terminal warns:
    "++ WARN: mpeg scan: pack header code (0x000001ba) expected, but 0x015c2d64 found (buflen = 2324)
    ++ WARN: bad packet at packet #58146 (stream byte offset 135131304) -- remaining 415756627 bytes of stream will be ignored"

    What are you trying to do exactly?

    If you want to take a huge mpeg file and split it up try Quicktime, then just image split files with something Like VCDGearX or something similar
