Connect TV Out (SVHS or Composite) to the corresponding In on your VCR. Press Record on the VCR, and press Play on your computers DivX player. That's it.
Some TV Out cards can't show picture on both monitor and TV at the same time, so you will be "stumbling in the dark" if you haven't a TV hooked up to your VCR too.
Remember that many TV out cards require you to have the TV/VCR connected and on at boot, or else the TV Out option wont be available.
Both these shortcomings can be fixed by a cool app, TVTool, which can be found here. It allows you to switch between TV and monitor at will, and even show the picture on both simultaneously.

can i plug the composite to the tv + play and record from the tv to the video recorder whit a scart?
