  1. I downloaded and converted the QuickTime Animatrix episode (off of the Animatrix website, they allow it) to Mpeg-1 with TMPEGENC. Since the original movie was in kind of a weird letterbox resolution, TMPEGENC puts a thick black border across the top and bottom of the movie in order to keep it at 320x240.

Is there any way to "squish" the video a little bit, making it taller, but without losing anything on the sides? I still want it to be widescreen but with black boxes that are less thick.

    Thanks!

  2. Sure, you could just change the Video Arrange Method under Advanced in the MPEG settings. But if you do that it will have a screwed up Aspect Ratio. Pesonally I think that looks a lot worse then it being in Wide Screen.

PS: I never new about the animatrix until your post, I downloaded it. This is pretty cool stuff. I think I'll wait until there is a little bit more then a 10 minute snippete before I make a myself VCD of it though.
