Ive tried capturing directly into premiere, but the video is really screwy.
so I have to capture using mmc 7.7.
my captures are rock solid, no drop frames or anything, but the audio is way freaking loud, blown out totally some of the time
the mmc volume control doesnt seem to have any bearing whatsoever on the volume of the recorded audio.
the ati card mini-plug audio output plugs into the line-in on my onboard sound, then out of there into one of the 5 stereo inputs on the Layla for monitoring.
so theres a volume control on:
-mmc
-layla
-windows shell volume control
am i missing something?
anyone else capture using two sound cards?

This can be very easy to fix. Double click your volume icon and it should open up a volume control panel. Click on Options, click on properties. Click the recording radio button and it will open up a new control panel for the Input volume control. You will have to play with the Line In Volume to get it correct. Mine is set to about 3 for a good level.

The volume issue is happening to me, it's not the vol setting, but a problem with 5.1 sound cards, I have to dissable mine and use onboard 16 bit 2c card for caputure. ATI web is posting new capture drivers and such as they fix it.
