Hello,
I am interested to make a movie with Adobe Premiere or Ulead MediaStudio as an AVI on base of a lot of still pictures. The destination is a MPEG-Stream for a Video-DVD.
Now I take 80 or 100 still pictures on the storyboard/timeline from the MediaStudio. What´s the correct or the best setting:
Fullpicture (non-Interlace) or Botton/Top-field first (Interlace). Interlace or non-interlace for still pictures that is the question.
Any Idea?
Klaus

I would recommend going with non-interlace for stills in order to eliminate the horizontal lines in frames where there is movement.

However do you construct a still picture with interlaced lines?

still pictures captured as frame examples in maestro are often interlaced. If you use an interlaced still on a dvd it will look almost like it is jumping around on the screen because your television/dd/whatever jumps from field to field... very ugly. Progressive scan dvd would likely not do this but why not just make the frame deinterlaced? This can be done easily in photoshop with standard video deinterlace filter or various other programs if you do not have adobe.

Sorry, I misunderstood the question.
