    hello,

    I just downloaded sweet home alabama in xvid file and converted to mpg-1 using tmpgenc. I used virtual dub to split the movie in half (big file) and then extract the sound (saved as wav) then do the conversion on TMPgenc...using KVCD 352 x 280 template, burned to cd using nero.

    Now when i played it back on my daewoo-5800 dvd player every 30 seconds theres a split second sound dissruption, goes on and off or cuts.

    can anyone help?

    Is this the first XVCD you made ?. Will your DVD player play XVCD ?. If it wont then use the default VCD template
