there are people on this forum alot more experienced than me on this topic,
and it's possible you just have some settings wrong
but in my experience nearly every movie i have ever downloaded has been corrupt
it just isn't worth the time or effort

Don't convert. Using Nero, do a file/burn image and open the CUE file. Or use Fireburner.

VCDGear doesn't like complex CUE files sometimes. Try Daemon tools and mount the image and see if that plays.

Is it VCD or SVCD? What are you trying to play them with? If you are using a quality program such as PowerDVD or WinDVD and you get problems, then there is probably something wrong. Remember also that playing SVCD makes demands on your PC, so you need a reasonably specified machine for best results. However, it may be something you are doing wrong when extracting from the .bin files. Here's what I do when I download a .bin and .cue.

    1. Extract from the .bin using Isobuster. For a VCD I am looking for AVSEQ01.DAT and for SVCD I am looking for AVSEQ01.MPG. In the case of the former, I change the extension to .mpg. Use TMPGEnc's mpeg tools Simple Multiplex, and output to a file with a new name. For VCD choose MPEG-1 Video-CD and for SVCD choose MPEG-2 Super Video-CD. These can be burned for playback in a standalone machine using Nero, or played on a PC player. I do not recommend Windows Media Player - particularly for SVCD, where with certain versions you will almost certainly get sync problems.

If you do as I suggest and you still have problems, then you have likely downloaded duff material.

How to use TMPGEnc can be found in the guides on this site.
