I read in the Media List area that Memorex DVD-R (2x) can cause problems with the laser in your DVD player or Playstation 2. Is this correct? Can the type of media you use affect the DVD laser?

I can't claim to have experienced this because after the constant issues I had trying to successfully burn on Memorex CD-Rs with a TDK VeloCD, I refuse to buy Memorex!
