Ulead DVD Workshop 1 Questions (2)

I wanted to use the Ulead DVD Workshop to author some menus and chapters, and so far have only one (seemingly basic) problem...

When I come to the section where I can choose the still for chapters I already have a scene that I haven't chosen. It is completely black and serves no purpose. How do I get rid of it? I already tried deleting it and removing all the scenes, but that hasn't worked. Any suggestions?

My second question is how do I make my chapters and menu motion?

Based on my review of 1.0 Trial, you can't. But I might be wrong.

the black scene youe have is the begining of your movie.
you can change the picture of it by movig the slidebar a bit forward,
and then right clicking on the black scene and selecting
"set chapter thumbnail" or something like that, i dont remember

The first chapter is the beginning of the movie. To change the thunbnail to something usefull, just play the video in the view window until you find the still you want then right click on the first chapter item and select "Set chapter thumbnail"
You can add more chapters by positioning the lower slider where you want the next chapter to be and clicking on "Insert Chapter" button either on the left side just below the center or on the right side where the slider bar is. You can add as many as you want. 99 may be the limit for each DVD.
I don't do motion menus so I can't help you there.

How to change Thumbnail (still)

1. Let's assume that you created scenes (chapters) already (in Scene List)

2. Right-click on specific scene and select from menu "Change Thumbnail"

3. Small window with your clip will pop-up.

4. Slide to proper "still" and hit "OK"

DONE !
