hey there, can anyone help me with a cvd encoding problem? i encoded a 1 min sample of a clip that is about 640 x 480 in avi and it came out perfectly. Then when i tried to encode the whole 32 min clip, it came out vcd blocky quality. Suggestions anyone . any cvd experts? Thanks in advance.
also , the 1 min clip consisted mostly of light scenes, while the 32 min clip consisted of dark clips. please help me.

I think that's the problem..there is nothing wrong with your encoding..It's your orginal source..... it's impossible to get better quality than your original source.. it's like saying encoding vcd to dvd... -
so is it impossible to encode any movie so that it is high quality that has dark scenes ?
