  1. Hi I burnt a vcd with 4 video clips on it. I also downloaded windvd on my hard drive and that seems to play my vcd. Is it possible to place a program to play video clips on a vcd with the actual files so it plays automatically?

Also, how do you convert .dat files to mpeg files after they have been burnt onto a vcd? I click on the files and it comes up with WMPLAYER but then a message says; "MMSYSTEM281 This file could not be played.Check the filename or install a driver that supports this type of file".

So what are the files suppose to be in(.dat, mpeg)?

Copy the .dat file to your hard drive and rename it to .mpg.

  4. Download VCDGear: http://www.vcdgear.com/download_gui.html

Get version 2.0. It comes in a ZIP file so extract it. When you open up "vcdgear20.exe", go to "Extraction\Conversion" near the top, click the pull-down menu and click on dat -> mpeg. Click "Load" just below i and open your mpeg (most likely on your cd drive). Next select a location to save your mpeg to (pick the Desktop for easyness). Click start and come back to your computer in about 5 minutes for a 300 mb clip. Repeat for your other video clips.
