I was told by a store back in December that these unit's were recalled nationally and even after Canopus restocked store shelves that a few faulty units still existed. My question is... does anybody know what the problem(s) with the unit was? Why were they recalled?

the chips in some units around chrismas were burned wrong, and showed up as a/v monitor in the device manager. I got one late december that was good. problem was fixed. macrovision defeat still works.
