There's this mpeg file I just downloaded and everytime I try to play it I get sound but no picture? I've been trying to find the right codec to play it but I'm having no luck. Is there anyway to get it to work properly? How do I find the right codec? The extension of the file is .mpg. And I've been trying to play it with wmp. Please if there's anything you can help me with, please reply. Thank you.

It most likely is an MPEG2(DVD) file, which means you need and MPEG2(DVD) decoder which are not free. If you have a software DVD program, such as PowerDVD or WinDVD you will be able to play them. This is the only way I know how to play them.
