  1. If you use DVD Maestro to author a DVD do you still need to use IFOedit to correct VTS Sectors? or does DVD MAestro already do this and after you author it in Maestro you can just burn it?

After you author in Maestro and compile to make VIDEO_TS folder with files, all you have to do then is burn. Nero, Prassi, others will do that.

  4. You better delete the long filename file DVDMaestro puts in your VIDEO_TS folder before you burn.

Some SoftDVDplayers require that VIDEO_TS folder and files reside in root of hard drive. PowerDVD may be one of those (not sure).

  8. I use PowerDVD, and it's not like that. The VIDEO_TS directory can be anywhere you please.

And make sure when using Maestro that you set a First Play (I think it's called that) in the connections menu...usually pointing to the first chapter of your movie.

  10. You'll get a warning in Maestro, but I've found that if I don't create a first play, the disk won't play in PowerDVD without pressing the play button. Which might cause some confusion amongst some........
