DVD to DV?

I have some footage on a DVD that I want to include in a new iMovie project. How do I get the video and audio into the correct format to import into iMovie?

It needs to be in .DV format. Here's one way to do it:

1) Rip audio and video streams separately in 0SeX.

2) Open up the .m2v file in Quicktime (You must have the QT MPEG-2 component installed) and choose export. Export as DV stream.

3) Convert the AC3 file to AIFF with mAC3dec.

4) Open up iMovie and import both files.
