This has never happened before. I ripped the main movie and audio with smartripper to my harddrive. I checked with DVD2AVI to see if the entire movie was there and it was. So far so good. I imported the movie into SpruceUp with no problems but SpruceUp cut off about 15 minutes of the movie. The movie is about 1 hour and 42 minutes and SpruceUp only imported 1 hour and 27 minutes. What do I need to do to fix this??? Thanks in advance.

I have spruceup but always use Maestro. I just backed that movie up yesterday with no problems at all. You might want to try Maestro out if you can't resolve this issue, because it may occur again in the future.

I have figured this one out. Read my thread:

if you read the "Barbershop" topic above, you will see that this movie doesn't need all of those authoring methods. That's a waste of time. Simple use IFOEdit and knock this movie out in less then an hour with ripping and stripping. As you can see by this post, I backed that movie up at the beginning of January using that very method. Very simple

defense (again)
I have also backed up this movie using Ifoedit. But the challenge was to re-author since that is my preference.

dcpro..first of all you weren't the author of this thread, so my response wasn't directed at you, it was directed to the author of this thread in order to allow them to backup barbershop with little problem. Where you say "again" as if you've told me in this post or somwhere else about your method...I could care less about your PREFERENCE, I was answering a question on how to backup a movie which requires little effort. I could give two shits if you want to run a 3 GB movie through Scenarist.

The author of this thread stated they were trying to import the file into Spruceup (that assumes authoring) so I was trying to help them.
Hopefully I'v answered the authors question in regards to importing this file into SpruceUp or Maestro.
