I guess you mean as a file that will play when you stick it in your stand-alone DVD player, yes? Not as a data file that you can open with WMP from another computer with a DVD-ROM drive?

Sonic MyDVD does a great job as does Veritas or STOMP's RecordNow Max.

The guides do help if you just relax and let the frustration ebb away. We've all been there. Deep breaths...

  5. What exactly are you trying to do ? From what you post here you are trying just burn file.mpg to a disk ? You will end up with Data-DVD and only few players can play raw mpeg file. Is it your mpeg file ? Is it file that you copied from commercial DVD ? Are you trying to author this mpeg ? And if you are not looking for "guide" then what do you realy need ? Guides are great. They are not ment to be created for all situations and sometimes you need to get some part from one and rest from different one. If there were no guides than there will be much more strugle to do anything. So do you wan't us to "guide" you or not ?

  6. stick your original DVDin DVDxCOPY and in 35 minutes you will have an exact copy of the original. Also you may want to buy a +RW also and use one of the free bitsetters out there so your burner burns all your Discs as DVD-ROM's which has a much rate of playing back in other DVD players

  7. Ulead DVD Movie Factory version 1.0 had a +R patch perhaps that is your problem. I use Dazzle DVD complete and that works very well with +R disks.

I believe that you also have to uninstall HP DLA. It seems to create conflicts with certain programs.
