WHAT an Anamorphic DVD , what does this mean? also would that effect the out come if you just ripped with Smart Ripper then rencode with Rempeg, then through spruce up?
I have searched the boards but there has been no Question rasied about this ( well that i have seen) can anyone fill me in please, thanks
Also if i didn't use ifoedit after using rempeg and went straight to Spruce up will this have a bad effect on the final file to burn?

An anamorphic DVD is equal to "enhanced for widescreen tv" (16:9). This means that the video has been encoded without the black bars of a letterboxed movie (thus all of the bitrate is going toward video information).
These dvds playback fine on 4:3 tvs (if the dvd player is setup for letterbox playback), because the dvd player will add the black bars. I believe that every fourth line of video is discarded by the player for 4:3 playback.
