this question is kind of off topic for mac video conversion in that its not a question about conversion, but more for burning. cdrdao wont burn a set of the bin/cue im trying to send it....sometimes i think its just the superdrive being picky b/c my scsi burner has never given me a problem and a few times the superdrive has...but my scsi burner is hooked up to another comp right now and i assume that its cd-rom drive is the first to be looked at when selecting IOCompactDiscServices as the device... is there an alternate way to choose a more specific device for cdrdao? thanks..

I haven't used cdrdao on a Mac, but the standard way to specify a recording device on every other platform is with "--device bus,id,lun". The device can be found with "cdrdao scanbus". The bus,id,lun notation originates with SCSI, but most systems have an abstraction layer to make some/all IDE devices look like SCSI devices to software.

yeh i tried that, i found out that via that type of id my scsi drive is 1,4,0 yet cdrdao STILL refuses to work oh well guess i gotta wait till i hook the SCSI card back into my other g4

scanbus doesn't return anything btw just this
    Code:
    Cdrdao version 1.1.5 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
      L-EC encoding library - (C) Heiko Eissfeldt
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty

Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables.
