    how do I edit a home video DVD and burn to another DVD?

    (the home video was shot in DV, burned to DVD-R)

    1) Rip the DVD to HD
    2) Demux the video and audio streams you want
    3) edit as normal
    4) create new VOB files
    5) burn to new DVD-R

    ?!? Were you trying to ask which programs to use or did I missunderstand your question?
