  2. VCDImager 0.7.12 is the latest build of a suite of programs used in the authoring of VCDs and SVCDs.

Two of these programs include: vcdimager and vcdxbuild.

VCDIMAGER is the continuation of the ORIGINAL VCDImager. You can use it to create CUE/BIN images of S/VCDs from your source MPEG files.

VCDXBUILD is the newer build program. Rather than simply making a multitrack VCD from the source MPEG files, you need to first author an XML descriptor file of the S/VCD. This allows you to make all sorts of things including menus and chapters. VCDXBUILD then parses the XML file to create the CUE/BIN image of the S/VCD.

If you download and use GNU VCDImager Tools GUI ( http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html ), the program information and prompts will give you a good idea on what you can use VCDIMAGER.EXE for and what you use VCDXBUILD.EXE for.

    Regards.
