  1. I am trying to use the Avisynth plug-in to Adobe Premiere 6.0 to encode using TMPGenc. When I open up TMPGenc, I get an error where the video should be that says "IPCSource: wrong server version (filename.avs, line 1)." I did a little test where I just create a .avs file with the one line "Version" and open it in Windows Media Player and get "Invalid or corrupt data was encountered." So it doesn't seem to work with Premiere/TMPGenc OR Windows Media Player.

I am using Windows ME, Avisynth 1.0 Beta 3 and TMPGenc 12h. Could this be related to Windows ME?

  3. Yip. Same thing here. Premiere 5.1c, Win90se. WMP says that Invalid or corrupt data was encountered. TMPGenc 12j just locks up. Any of you avisynth gurus got any ideas?

  5. Same problems. I'm using Windows Me, TMPGenc 12j, avisynth 0.3. I tried the "Version.avs" test with the same results. When I open the attempt to open the .avs file in TMPGenc I get "IPCSource: Unable to open IPC objects. Try using a different file name"

Have a look at this guide.
The premiere plugin says "to connect from AVIsynth use the following command: IPCSource("whatever0")
Open notpad, type IPCSource("whatever0") and save it as whatever.avs.
Then start TMPG and select whatever.avs as video source.

  7. Go to http://www.videotools.net. Avisynth development was taken over by this guy. He has created a much improved version of Avisynth and he's very responsive to requests for help.

  8. Just wanted to share with you my experience with AVIsynth. If you want to try out any .avs file use the old mplayer2 instead of wmplayer. For some reason wmplayer would not accept .avs file while the old mplayer2 will. Even if you are using Win2k, the old mplayer2 should still be available. Just do a search of your hard drive.

    Simple,
In menu TMPGenc, global settings, VFAPI Plugins disable "direct show multimedia file reader", in my PC its works OK., but don,t forget to copy the "*.dll to windows\system directory.

    To amend my previous post:
    1. advice, not advise
    2. at the Premiere site, click on "win" opposite the Premiere product name
    3. now you are at the 'user-to-user' page
    4. go to FAQ
    5. 'TMPGEnc from Timeline'

  14. You may not belive this but I got the same message after installing version 12a. Guess what? I made a new AVS fill with a different name, and it worked.
This was after 3 days of reading forums like this one.

    The non-working setup was:

    plug-in ver 0.90
