Is a 'power calibration error' a sign the burner doesn't like my blank media right?
It sounds like a hardware fault ('power').
My drive is a Panasonic LF-D311 (Mashita in device manager)

  3. I had this with a cheap CDR spindle once, burning it a lil' slower solved it, so I'd say it's the media itself (problem went away every tiem I burn another brand)

    Hi folks,
    Thanks for the posts.
Anyone know how I can determine the best media for my machine (LF-D311 Panasonic)?
The panasonic site hasn't been the best for me, I couldn't find my model!
It does say Mashita in device manager though, maybe this might be a better search option.
    Thanks,
    Will

I got this a couple times with various media in Nero..
Tried the same disc using VCDeasy, and they burned just fine.

When I play my movies I get stuttering in my standalone player, but not my laptop or desktop computers.
My pal has tried it and it's fine in his machine.
I've made two, one with cladvdd, dvd2avi, tmpgenc and ulead movie factory and the other with smartripper, maestro and prassi, so I know it's not the software I use.
I'm hoping my Wharfedale M5 standalone player doesn't like the datasafe brand I'm using.
