my apologies if i've missed this information somewhere...i'm looked (honestly!)
the dru-500 and a05 seem to be the most recommended (economical) burners at this time.
zdnet has performance reviews on both and indicated the a05 is faster (for the most part). although, i think they indicated that the dru-500 was faster on RWs. anyway, at the time the review the dru-500 wasn't burning dvd-r(s?) at 4x and there's been several firmware updates by both manufacturers. so the reviews are out of date by several months.
are there any current benchmarks out there comparing the two?
thanks!
