  1. Hi all

I have subtitles for my MPEG2 files. I want to add them permanently, that is I DO NOT want them as selectable tracks in my standalone player. I want to use my MPEG2 files, not convert them to AVI for subtitling.
These MPEGs should be viewable on a computer as SVCD.

Problem with WinSubMux for example is that it deliveres selectable subs that only work in standalones and not even all of them.

    bottom line:

permanent subs in my SVCD for computer use.
How do I go about it?

    regards

    Kris

You will have to reencode (and lose quality by doing so). Frameserve the MPEG2 files with dvd2avi and add subtitles the same way you would for VCD (vcdhelp has a couple guides on that), but use SVCD resolution instead of VCD resolution if it tells you to resize.
