  1. I was capping a video and I ran out of disk space just at the end of the cap
This created a file which divfix vdub etc won't recognise as an avi file

I guess the headers? are corrupt is there anyway I can open the file and fix whats wrong so it will be recognised and become editable?

This is a bit of a longshot but give AVIPreviewC a go, its worked wonders for me in the past as you can force it to use a specific codec. Its home is at http://www.funkster.org in the Software section - the site doesn't allow deeplinking so you have to do it this way.

    Good Luck
