I just bought both the software. Can someone help me out? I'm completely computer illiterate.
I first entered the DVDXCOPY program and put my original dvd in. I hit the "copy now" button and it seems to rip the dvd disk 1. After it is done, it asks if i want to burn it. What should i do from there?
Should i not burn it with the DVDXCOPY burner, and open up my recordnow max? I'm really confused.

Why don't you just go ahead and burn it from dvdxcopy? It allows you to burn UDF or UDF/ISO mode. Try UDF/ISO mode.

DVDXcopy comes with a very thorough step by step tutorial. It's there in the left panel when you open the program.
Let that walk you through the whole process then post back if you have any troubles. I would suggest using a re-writable DVD to test it the first time - I don't know how much you paid for -r or +r dvds.
Also goto the DVDXcopy forums for expert advice. -
To do what you want to do here ya go:
When the first disc is ripped to the hard drive and DXC gives you the option to burn, go into the DXC Temp folder and copy just the Audio and Video_TS folders do a different folder of your choice. You should just make a new folder for it.
After this, click on skip this disc and after the second disc is ripped, do the same thing as above.
I make a folder with the movies name and then put a Disc 1 and Disc 2 folder in it.
Go into RecordNow Max and click on data disc.
Select the Audio and Video folders to copy and burn the correct discs and you are done.
Good choice in programs!!!!!!!
Easiest way to backup dvd's. It may cost more, but is so much easier.
Don't forget to get rid of the 321 disclaimer before you burn disc 1.
You can find out how to do this under the DVD- Rip HOW TO over on the left. Look for the DVDXCOPY selection. -
You're making it more difficult than it needs to be. You can do it right in the program. If you want to remove the disclaimer, you're defeating the purpose of the program to begin with, and that has caused problems for some people also. Check out the forums on their website. There are a lot of issues with copying DVDs you should become familiar with that go beyond the scope of this thread.
