  1. Hello all, I'm really new and curious. I have a 2 part question. My first question is, what determind whether the VCD I put into the player is original or copied. For this reason my player will play orinal but not a copied ones. We will start to rent out VCD movies from Asia, but because of our contract with our distributor, we decided to download the movies on our t1 line rather then paying arms and legs for shipping. Then we would have to burn these movies ourself. Is there a way that I can make it so that the burn would be something that is commercially done?

and my other question is: will all dvd/vcd player out there play svcd?
because if it does, then we probably should burn it as a svcd rather then vcd.

    thanks in advanced,

    DBZ

question 1 - > original is pressed (stamped) disk and copy is burned , not all dvd players (or even vcd players) can play burned vcd's/cdr

question 2 -> no - not all dvd player can play svcd , plus at the higher bit rate you would need more disks -- plus you would be changing the image size using a bad image to start with ...

  3. So in another word, there is no way I can pressed(stamped) these cd? or would it require me investing in a whole of money into buying a machine that will do the work?

    thanks

yeah, you will need to buy the machine in order to press your own discs or i've heard of some companies that will press the discs for you.

Why don't you buy a DVD player that plays CDR/CDRW. That's the KISS principle.
