Well I'm not that blonde actually, but wanted to get your attention, my husnband spends months away from home so he bought me an Apple IMac for Xmas, I have been using Imovie alot and have already learn how to record old videos onto the computer through my digital camera and record onto vcds, I have even had a go with karaoke with complete success, now I want to dry ripping a dvd and saving parts on vcds, not for quality but just so I know how,

    What is thi program you call YADE I can find nothing about it.

  2. YADE stands for Yet Another DVD Extractor. It's a DVD ripper program that can decrypt DVDs and copy them to your hard disk. It only works on OS 9. There is a carbon version of it that works in OS X, but that version has no decryption capabillities so it will only work with DVDs that aren't encrypted (all Hollywood DVDs are encrypted).     There are links there for YADE as well as OSEx (a ripper for OS X) and also tutorials that tell you how to do the ripping. That should be enough to get you started.
