  1. I successfully rip the DVD using smartripper. I then followed your instructions on converting the files to mpeg format. I receive the error "d2v not supported". I downloaded and installed the patch and that didn't seem to help. Is there something else I need to do?

    Hi there,

I suppose that you are talking about TMPGEnc?
Check under: options -> enviromental settings -> VFAPi plugin. If those D2V files are not supported, then you need to download the plugin. You can find it on the same side where you have downloaded TMPGEnc

  3. How do I know if the plugin has the correct options installed? I noticed there were around 6 options.

  5. Did you actually unzip all the plug-in files to your TMPG directory and run the install.bat from there??...if so, the go to enivronemntal settings and chage the priority level as shown in the guides on this webpage.

    Dpeccia,

When you have done as I wrote before, and you have noticed 6 options, then I think that you mean: 6 different types of files were listed. Now check if all the boxes on the left are "ticked off" If the DVD2Avi file has been listed and ticked off, TMPGEnc should give you no troubles of opening a D2V file.
Just make sure that you have extracted the Plugin files to the TMPGEnc folder, and installed.
