  1. My old Apex 703 died last night and I'm looking to replace it with a good quality (the Apex picture wasn't good in my opinion) player. I am willing to give up some quality if I can find a player that plays DVD-R and DVD-RW well (I have a Pioneer A04) and can also play MP3s burned on DVD-R or DVD-RW. Any suggestions? Price isn't much of an issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

    It doesn“t say in the sheet, that the device supports DVD-Mp3,just Mp3 in general, and "some DVD-R".
    So why spend so much money?

  4. Or if money is an object you may look at the Mintek 1600. You can find it here: http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=1229&e=11099596. I now have 2 of these and confirm they do play MP3 on DVD-R.

    But, there are a couple drawbacks. One; It can only play 298 songs in a folder. So you can fill up a DVD-R, but make folders and make sure you have no more than 298 songs per folder. Two; It does not handle long filenames, so it can get a little tricky. But it does do random play in current folder.

    @strad17

    I have never seen a dvd player advertise with DVD-Mp3.
    (Maybe u can show me one)
    This DVD player is probably the best player money can buy and you would think that it would read such a format for all those bones.

    AlphaDigital is a very advanced company and i would think they would include it.

    Hey i could be wrong, but im just sayin it probably has it.
