AVI 2 MPG : sound and pic asycronic

i converted a divx to mpg using tmpgenc and burnt it on vcd, everything was good but sometimes the pic does not match the sound. I used toolame for the sound. Would this have anything to do with bad frames in the video causing it not to following with sound? If is it, how can i fix it up?

ya i think it has something to do with the bad frames. Virtualdub can check for bad frames, save the avi again and all the bad frames will be removed

Hi Masters:
I captured my video from a DV camcorder to my computer by Ulead 6, it became AVI files. I burned AVI files with Nero 5.5.9.14 which supports VMPEG2Enc.dll. My problem is there was no sound when I play the VCD with the AVI files , but it works fine with the .mpg files. I don't want to convert the AVI to MPG, I feel that the quality of the video picture is much less.
