  1. I use TMPGEnc to encode and do great . . until I have to split the video when I have more than 80 minutes. Nero says that the disc mpeg isn't compliant. What am I doing wrong?

I've encoded NTSC and NTSC (Film) - what is myb sin? Thanks.

  2. Hi

I've had the same thing, after splitting the vid with tmpg and loading it into nero a banner comes up saying the format is not a valid format, mpeg 1 etc, but I just turn off the standard compliance by clicking the tab, and burn, everything turns out ok

hope this is what you was after

I get the same thing - start with a complient mpeg 1 file, cut it in TMPGEnc to make it fit on 2 CD's, and Nero says it isn't complient. I ignore, and burn anyway, and the resulting VCD plays fine in my Cyberhome AL528. What worries me is that the Cyberhome will play almost anything (!) which is good, but am I creating VCD's that I won't be able to play in other DVD players?

    Can anyone clarify??

  4. I solved my own problem. When Splitting in TMPGEnc, you must change the Type: drop-down selection from MPEG-1 System (automatic) to MPEG-1 Video CD. Otherwise the discs don't have headers and won't play in all DVD players (non-compliance issue).
